Domains etc?

    I am not sure what all is what… I think I might be paying WordPress AND Godaddy for the same thing? I pay $99 a year for this: funthingstodoinjacksonhole.wordpress.com Is this for hosting AND the domain name?

    I have a number of domains through godaddy… I want all of them ( thingstodoinjacksonhole.com, funthingstodoinjacksonhole.com, funthingstodoinjacksonhole.net, to point to this page that I paid to be designed: http://funthingstodoinjacksonhole.com/

    I wonder if I have just never noticed the $99 charge, and if it is a second page?

    Yes, the two websites are separate: https://activitiesinjacksonwy.wordpress.com/ is a website hosted on WordPress.com; the other one, http://funthingstodoinjacksonhole.com/ is using a self-hosted version of WordPress, installed on your own web hosting space, GoDaddy in your case.

    As I’m not seeing a lot of content on your WordPress.com website, I assume that the currently active website is http://funthingstodoinjacksonhole.com/ ; and since it is using the self hosted version of WordPress if you have paid 99 dollars for it then it’s a payment that covered the GoDaddy hosting and domains only, as WordPress is a free software.

    So, If you want to get assistance on mapping your domains on the http://funthingstodoinjacksonhole.com/ website then your best bet would be to head over the official WordPress.org support forums here https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ as in this forum we only provide support to websites hosted on wordpress.com, and if you want to learn more about the difference you can read here https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Also, since your activitiesinjacksonwy.wordpress.com. has a wordpress.com domain I assume it has a free plan; however, I will add a modlook tag to the thread so the staff can have a closer look and see if there have been any charges on your account.

    Hi there,

    http://funthingstodoinjacksonhole.com/ and funthingstodoinjacksonhole.wordpress.com are two totally different sites. One is hosted with us Go Daddy and the other is hosted here at WordPress.com.

    funthingstodoinjacksonhole.com is mapped to the WordPress.com site, but is not being used with the site because it is still pointed to the Go Daddy hosted site.

    You are an administrator on thingstodoinjacksonhole.wordpress.com, but not the owner of the account and the upgrades are not associated with the account you are contacting us from.

    If you are not planning on using the site hosted on WordPress.com, then you will neither need the premium plan upgrade nor the mapping subscription that is currently on the site – but, in order to cancel those upgrades, you will need to have access to the account that owns both of them.

    It looks like thingstodoinjacksonhole.com is the only domain that isn’t currently pointed to your Go Daddy site. You will have to update the settings on Go Daddy’s end since the domain is with them.
