domains from another host

  i have a domain name from somewhere else. do i have to upgrade to use wp? i already have a host site as well. i just need to build my site.

  Hello there,

  If you’ve purchased a domain and have a hosting provider, you wouldn’t necessarily need WordPress.com.

  If you would like to use WordPress.com – the domain can be connected from the domain registrar as per these steps: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

  You then would not need the hosting already purchased.
