Don't want my blog posts page as my home page, and I am unable to change that.
-
Hi.
My pages link says that my bloging page is currently my home page, but I am unable to set that up differently. I would like my blog posting page deleted.
-
Hi there,
What is your site URL?
What happens when you try to change your post page to a different page? When you go to Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings you should have the option to set the Homepage as Home and the post page to either select or to a different page.
Let me know if that isn’t working for you and we’ll be happy to take a further look.
Thanks,

Hi, and thanks for the reply.
The option to set annother page as the home page doesn’t appear on the screen.
Also, there is no option to delete my blog page

I assume you have created the page you’d prefer to use as your front page. Also perhaps things would show once your site has been fully launched.

Hi there!
You must have published the page that you want to set as the homepage of your site. Until the page is published, it won’t appear on the customizer’s Homepage Settings screen.
Note that if your site is private or in coming soon mode, published posts and pages still won’t appear to anyone. So you can create a new page, publish it, and then set the page as the homepage from the customizer following the instructions here: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/

Hello, and thanks for writing back.
The page I want as my home page is already published.
-
The only page at that site is titled “About Jazzy Puzzle Club.” and Published.
Following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/ you need to:
1. Go to https://jazzypuzzles.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php
2. Click “Homepage Settings.”
3. Click “A static page.”
4. For “Homepage” select “About Jazzy Puzzle Club.” from the drop-down menu.
5. Click “Save Changes” up top. -

You’ll need to use the Customizer as directed in order to set this, it’s not necessarily part of the wp-admin view, that’s just the URL that loads it.
Please follow either the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/ or the 5 steps listed above (which is an abbreviated version of the fore-mentioned support document).

Hi, and thanks for the reply.
I used to be able to do that from the page’s toggle menu. Why doesn’t that option work any more?
-
Hm, it’s always been under the Customizer.
It’s definitely not available under the page editor now, so you’ll need to do it via the Customizer following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/
-
Under the pages link in wordpress.com, there is a toggle menu next to the page. Under that toggle menu, there used to be an option called set as home page.
-
Ah, that would be since the interface change.
It’s definitely not available now, but we are working on it.
For now, you’ll need to do it via the Customizer following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/
