  I dont want my wordpress site name to change, but WordPress is telling me that’s necessary to install a new plugin. What can I do?

  I am trying to install Elementor.

  Someone recently recommended going to wordpress.org instead and working something from there. I am not well-clued on what to do from there.

  Yes, you will need the Business Plan in order to use Elementor (or any other plugin) on a WordPress.com site:

  http://wordpress.com/business

  As you mentioned, the other option is going the WordPress.org option, but you would need to purchase hosting if you go that route. For the differences between dotcom and dotorg, please visit:
