    can I set up Double opt-in (also known as confirmed opt-in) in a wordpress theme without setting up an email service provider like Mailchimp? If so, how would I do this?

    Hi there!

    It would depend on the email service you’re using. Is this for a newsletter subscription? If you’re using WordPress.com’s built-in email newsletter feature, anyone entering their email address will have to click a link sent to their email address to confirm their subscription.

    I’m assuming that’s what you meant? If not, feel free to let us know more about what you’re going for so that we have a better idea of your requirements and suggest accordingly.
