Double spacing and wraparound of my document
-
Everything worked as usual until this week’s message on my blog. Suddenly, even though my document is single-spaced, the moment I paste it into my document using the same method I have always used, it double-spaces and wraps around. I see no way to edit it to correct it, and believe the problem is at WordPress’s end.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you copy and paste text directly from a word processor like Word or Google Docs, WordPress tries to preserve the hidden layout code, which often splits your single-spaced lines into entirely separate Paragraph blocks (creating the unwanted double spacing) and breaks the natural screen wrapping. To fix this instantly, try pasting your text as plain, unformatted text by clicking inside your WordPress editor and pressing Ctrl + Shift + V (on Windows) or Cmd + Shift + V (on a Mac) instead of the usual paste shortcut. This strips out all the hidden document code and lets WordPress style the text cleanly. Alternatively, you can paste your text directly into a Preformatted block or a Classic block in your editor, which will also prevent the layout from splitting up!

Thanks for being a live person! I appreciate you! I have a very modern iMac, and use Pages, an Apple app. And as I have said again and again in my queries so far, this started yesterday. I do 1-2 blogs a week — full sermons. Have been doing this for years. Everything was working fine, my cut and paste method worked fine, it came out single-spaced, until yesterday. The logical conclusion is that the problem is at your end, don’t you think?

Anything new on this? I even cut and pasted older messages that had pasted with perfection, but when putting those older ones up now, I see that they have the same format problem
