Downloading site files
-
I would like to create a new customized template for my adventuresofablondwhitegirl.com site and have paid for customizing the CSS. I do not know how to access the current site files in order to begin manipulating the original to create a modified/customized template for a new homepage.
I have seen tutorials on creating a child template and so on but nothing on actually accessing files.
Please help – in plain language please :) Thank you.

There’s no way to create a child theme here on WordPress.com, but you can add Custom CSS through the CSS pane in the Customizer. Any code you add there will override the original theme’s CSS.
Here are some resources for learning CSS:
And you can find some more CSS resources here:

There’s also an option there to “Don’t use the theme’s original CSS.” This option is really for advanced users since you’ll essentially be starting from scratch.
Let me know if I can help further!
