Duplicated sites
-
This is complicated: I had a free wordpress site. thehealthyllama.wordpress.com. I upgraded by using a hosting platform (1&1) to wordpress.org and registered the domain thehealthyllama.net. A few months ago, my mother-in-law convinced me to move my domain to her hosting account on iPage. I really want to move my site back to wordpress. I am having some major challenges at this time. I thought it was deleted but thehealthyllama.wordpress.com still opens to the old blog’s front page. My current domain, thehealthyllama.net opens to the site I’ve built on iPage and I have also attempted to migrate my site onto the wordpress platform within iPage. Nothing is working and I don’t know what to do.

@thehealthyllamablog It sounds like you want to copy any content from iPage over to thehealthyllama.wordpress.com, and then set thehealthyllama.net so that it opens the WordPress.com site. Is that right?
If so, can you ask iPage if you can export an XML file? We may be able to work with that. Otherwise it will need to be exported, imported into a supported format, then exported again so we can import it here. It might be a bit of work, but it’s doable.
