E-mail DNS Records on Register.com
-
I am trying to get the DNS records for my e-mail on register.com. It said that I had to reset the DNS records to get to those settings… I am unsure how to write them in the DNS field on wordpress to make sure that they will work. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

it says: grunwaldclub.com then in a drop down menu it says priority low then mail server: mx07.register.com
Is that all you need? You see when I change the DNS server to the NS1.wordpress.com etc it then take away all of this information (e-mail) on register.com. so i think I have to set up the e-mail and then set up the DNS servers.

It seems you’ve already correctly set the MX records on the Custom DNS page.
Now you can change the NS records and point them to the WordPress.com name servers. Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMLet us know if you have any questions!

Actually when I added the DNS records on register this popped up:
in CNAM (Alias):
mail.grunwaldclub.com points to webmail.register.comin MX:
gunwaldclub.com points to mxmail.register.com
priority: highwhat do I do with this information?

Okay– my website is correct and is working.
The e-mail is now broken. It’s accepting the CNAME it’s not accepting the MX.

The CNAME record was incorrect, could you try to set these records instead:
CNAME mail mxmail.register.com.
MX 10 mx07.register.com.Otherwise please contact your domain registrar (register.com) to check if that MX record is correct. Note that it might take up to 72 hours before DNS changes are fully propagated.
