easy digital download plugin

Good afternoon,
I would greatly appreciate being able to install easydigitaldownloads on my academic wordpress.com site. I would like to begin charging students a small amount to access the study guides and such.

If you want to install plugins of any kind then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.
There is no FTP access and no plugin capability on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes.

Then you will have to hire a web host and set up your own WordPress.org install as free hosted WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for ecommerce transactions .

That’s not going to happen. You can create password-protected pages and charge for access for those pages and only put the downloads on those pages. That’s about the easiest way to do this.
