  when i try to edit my blog with an embedded video nothing shows up

  Hi Brian,

  You should be able to embed Vimeo and Youtube videos with the direct link as seen here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/

  and

  Vimeo

  Let me know if that’s not working for you. I just tried this and it’s working on my site, so there aren’t any bugs that I am aware of.
