Edit contact form in html

    I want to edit my contact form in html rather than visual editor. I can access html editor for other blocks, but I cannot access for form block. I have tried searching this site and using google, but the directions posted all appear to be old. How do I access the html editor for a contact form?

    Hi there,

    The contact form block cannot be edited in HTML like the contact form in the classic editor. This is because the contact form block doesn’t use a shortcode like the form in the classic editor, but instead uses its own set of nested blocks that you can add inside the main block.

    In other words, you should see the Form block as it’s own little mini-block editor inside the main editor. This mini editor works exactly the same as the actual block editor, but its blocks are the different form elements you can add to the form.

    Is there something specific you’re trying to do that you think is only possible in the HTML view?

    I want to change the confirmation response people receive after submitting. Online says this can be done in html editor.

    @littlezscakery yeah that’s not currently possible with the contact form as it is. Did you want to show a different confirmation page?

    If so I can file a request for that. We wouldn’t necessarily add that feature right away, but it helps to keep track of whether there’s an interest in that feature.
