Editing an existing large post gets extreme slow. e.g. 15) Storage…. or 24) Growing chicory…

    Editing an existing large post starts normal. After 1 minute or so (waiting or editing), editing slows, curser pointer is blinking less. Editing gets extreme slow, no cursor pointer blinking. This happens at large posts only, small posts edit well.

    This slowing problem started someday after November 11, 2021.

    What can be the cause and how to solve this problem.

    Can you tell me the article where this happening please?

    On first glance, I’ve spotted that this site is using the TwentyTen theme, which is a retired theme. This means, this could be a bug that may not see a fix.

    Meanwhile I’m gonna try changing the theme.

    Hello,

    I have changed my theme to Twenty Sixteen, a non-retired theme.

    Editing error is still there, nothing has changed.

    That is definitely a large post.

    I’m not seeing any issue though, so let’s rule-out a few more things.

    First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

    If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

    If it is, please do these two things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

    Hello,

    Thanks, my problem has been solved. Editing goes well again.

    I have executed all advised steps. Results:

    Editing with Microsoft Edge Versie 96.0.1054.43 (Officiële build) (64-bits) still gives the same problem. After 50 seconds cursor stops blinking, editing extreme slow.

    Editing with Google Chrome Version 96.0.4664.93 (Official Build) (64-bit) works well. Editing is okay.

    And I intend to make my large posts smaller too.
