editing the privacy page

  Hi the content on my current blog has run its life period and I’ve set it to private so that all the info is there as a safe back up for when I’m ready to relaunch afresh.

  It would be nice to be able to add a little notice to readers of this and a ‘thanks for reading’ to the page saying the blog is private.

  Is this possible?

  you may consider password protecting the whole blog:
  http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/can-i-password-protect-my-whole-blog/

  or you can keep all your pages in draft mode so they won’t appear in your blog’s home page and the content will still be intact.
