Editing Website Is different than customize.

  When I look/preview the website it’s a certain theme and text. Then when I look at the customization view it’s the same. But when I try to edit it by using edit page or edit front page, it’s the original version when I first started. I can’t figure out how to make the view the same so I can edit it correctly and see what it looks like.

  Hi there, which WPcom site is this happening on and which theme are you using there? Let us know so we can take a look.

  With the newer WPcom Block Style themes, if your site has a static front page, you’ll edit that page in the Page dashboard rather than in the Customizer. There are also other settings that take place in the Page or Post Editor (like font choices) and not in the Customizer.
