Editor before posting and editor after posting are different. Confused.
-
I’m perplexed.
I’m trying to stay away from Elementor and I just recreated an existing post, but this time with the regular WordPress editor. I utilized the standard columns and blocks that come with WordPress (with the exception of Kadence).
Everything looked fine and then I published the article.
It looks a little diffferent live than in preview so I wanted to make changes.
But when I go to ‘post’ and ‘edit’, there are no blocks, columns etc that I can highlight in the post.
All I see is ‘classic editor’ and I can only modify text/images (nothing block, columns related)
1000% confused as to why that is, what to do about it and how to avoid this in the future.

And what’s weird is that in edit mode, I can still add blocks, columns etc. I just can’t see the existing post by sections, columns, blocks.
Not sure if this is theme related and issues after publishing because of it.
I have no problem going back and forth with Elementor in regards to saving as draft, publishing and re-editing again. Nothing changes with the layout options.

Hi there,
It looks like you’re in the wrong forum. It appears that you’re using the open-source WordPress software and therefore you need to seek help at these forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
I also recommend posting in the Elementor forum as well:

These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the WordPress software you can read this document:
