Elements Blocked as HTTP on WordPress, even with HTTPS certificate?

    My website has an HTTPS certificate and is a secure site operating on 4.9.1. A cybersecurity scan flagged elements on my pages and is saying they are http. My IT guy says that WordPress currently still has framework that ONLY operates on http and the CMS itself hasnt fully updated to https (i.e. it’s WP not our certificate). I can’t find any support for this assertion from my IT. My question: are there parts of the WordPress infrastructure that remain HTTP even with an HTTPS certification on the site?

    You did not provide a site URL, but if you’re using WordPress 4.9.1 you are using the open source WordPress software over on WordPress.org, not WordPress.com.
