I entered the wrong email address at signup when I try to change it it says already registered

Please post both the incorrect and the correct email address into this thread. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Hi there,
It looks like you’re trying to change your account email address to one that’s already being used with another WordPress.com account. (Each account must use a unique address.)
One option is to move your blog from this account to the one that’s already using the correct email address. That way you won’t need this new account anymore.
If you need, you can reset that account’s password by entering your email address here:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Another option is to choose a different email address and use that with your new account.
