  My email notifications of a new blog do not have the same appearance as my actual blog. How can I change this?

  The email sent out to followers by WordPress.com cannot be edited/styled by us users. However, you can choose whether the full post or only an excerpt is sent under Dashboard>Settings>Reading >For each article in a feed, show:

  Thank you. I thought as much. Shame really. I don’t like the blue colour and wish it was a more simple black & white design.
