  I’m looking to transfer my site from GoDaddy to WordPress. When I fill in my email address, I get: The “Email” field cannot use any of the domain names you plan to register. My only email address is the one that ends in the domain name. What to do?

  @imthinking1 have you considered getting another address? There are several free options available, and many of them can be automatically forwarded to your domain-based email.

  This feature that has you choose a different email address is intentional, and important. If your domain stops working (like if you accidentally let it expire), we’ll have trouble reaching you to fix it if your domain-based email address is broken, too.
