Email address possibly blocked
-
We had an email address setup to get notifications from a plugin support forum. This was blocked for a short period on our end and now we aren’t getting any notifications at all, even the password reset email is not coming through.
How can we check that the email address has not been blacklisted?

Hello @jasonac57fcb5a3i,
Thank you for flagging this, losing notifications entirely, including a password reset email, is worth getting to the bottom
A few things to clarify first, since there’s no site or email subscription tied to this account on our end, which limits what we can check directly:
- Which service is sending these notifications? If the plugin support forum is on WordPress.org (not WordPress.com), those notifications come from a separate system than WordPress.com’s. That will change where the issue actually sits.
- Check your email provider’s spam or blocked senders list. A block often happens on the receiving end (Gmail, Outlook, a hosting provider, etc.) rather than on our side. Look in your spam/junk folder and any “blocked senders” settings for entries related to wordpress.com or wordpress.org.
- If this address has had bounced emails in the past, some mail systems automatically suppress future sends to it, even after a brief issue.
Let us know which platform the notifications are coming from, and we can look into it further from there!
