Email address privacy

    I thought my email address was never shown, yet apparently it is visible on a comment that I left on someone else’s blog. I don’ mind my WordPress username being visible, but please advise me how to make sure my email address stays hidden.

    Whenever you submit a comment on a WordPress.com site, your email address is visible to the site owner both in the notification email the site owner receives, if they have enabled it, as well as in the Comment management area of the dashboard . However, it should not be visible in the published comment itself.

    If your email address is visible in the published comment itself, you can contact the site owner and ask them to remove it.
