  my account is currently under y former work email
  I’d like to move it to my personal address
  But WordPress says they already have an account in that name. when I tried to log into it, it says no account exists…
  And I must add I am not a fan of ANY site in which you cannot contact customer support

  So are you trying to change the email address on this WordPress.com account?

  That email address is associated with another WordPress.com account, created in 2012 already.

  Log out of this account, and then enter that email address on the password reset form to regain access to the other account:

  https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  Once you’re in that account, change that account’s email to something else. Then you’ll be able to use that email address for the dmmccoy account.
