Email change issue

    My site was created by a website developer and now when I try to change the password it sends me a link to click and change the email the page goes to the wordpress site and does not accept my username and password. Please help

    Where exactly are you trying to change the password?

    The only place where a WordPress.com password can be changed is at https://wordpress.com/me/security/, and the only place the email for a WordPress.com account can be changed is at https://wordpress.com/me/account/

    If you’re trying to update these details for a specific site, rather than your WordPress.com account, it means you’re working with a stand-alone WordPress site, as those settings are not managed per-site on WordPress.com, only per-account.

    We cannot help with stand-alone WordPress sites in this forum. Please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ instead in that case.
