email confusion

  I have two accounts. one uses (email visible only to moderators and staff) the other uses (email visible only to moderators and staff). I don’t want the account that is associated with (email visible only to moderators and staff). I want the account that is currently associated with (email visible only to moderators and staff). I am trying to close the (email visible only to moderators and staff) account. Once I do that I want to change the email address on the other account. Can you confirm that if I close the account associated with (email visible only to moderators and staff) it will not impact the other account

  Hi there!

  You can close your WordPress.com account with the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff). However, after closing this account, this email address can’t be reused on another account for up to 30 days. So if you want to use (email visible only to moderators and staff) on the account that has (email visible only to moderators and staff) now, you have two options:

  1. Change the email address on the (email visible only to moderators and staff) account to something else (like (email visible only to moderators and staff)) so that (email visible only to moderators and staff) is freed up. After the email address change is confirmed, you can use (email visible only to moderators and staff) on the (email visible only to moderators and staff) account.
  2. Close the (email visible only to moderators and staff) account, wait 30 days, and then change the email address on (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff).
