    Hi,

    A person following my blog via email recently created their own wordpress site and followed me via their wordpress account. I was wondering, did their user automatically follow me on wordpress because they had signed up their email for my site? Or did they have to manually follow me via the wordpress account as well?

    Hi there,

    If someone following you via email then creates a WordPress.com account using the same email address, that existing subscription should transfer over to their new account, yes. They shouldn’t need to manually refollow you via the WordPress.com account.
