Email followers can not comment on my blog

  People who don’t have WordPress accounts but follow my blog via email
  are not able to comment or like my posts. I have changed this in my settings to allow for it, yet they still can’t. Help!

  Hi there,

  Almost all the comments on your site are from people who don’t have WordPress.com accounts, so I don’t see anything wrong here.

  What exactly do you mean they’re unable to comment? Are they seeing an error when they try to comment? If so, what is the exact words of the error message?

  You must have a WordPress.com account in order to like a post. That feature is not available for non-account holders.
