Email followers post update

When a new blog is posted, my followers receive an email that contains the blog post BUT the formatting is all off. Is there a way to adjust the email setting, so that the blog post retains original formatting?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have a couple questions.
– which email client is involved? more than one?
– can you get a screen shot and add it to the media library?The other option is to only display post excerpts in those emails. That should limit any formatting problems that are coming through to the followers.

I’m interested in only displaying excerpts. Do you know how you would change to this format?

How exactly is the formatting “off”? Can you please provide a screen shot like staff-zinnia asked for above?
There don’t exist any formatting options for blog notification emails. Those are formatted the same for all sites on WordPress.com, regardless of the theme applied to respective sites.
We haven’t had reports from anyone else saying the email formatting is broken, so what you’re seeing is likely intentional, but if you can help us see what you see, and explain what you’re expecting to see and why, we can make sure of that for you.

Sorry, I don’t know where I can add a screenshot in this forum. I’ve looked around but cant seem to find that option.

You can upload a screen shot to your media library at My Site ->Site ->Media, and we’ll be able to see it there.

Ah, do you mean the display of the images? We’re a bit limited in what can be included in the email formatting wise, due to the limitations of some email apps and webmail.

Yes, that’s correct.
Understandable as well. Hard to standardize across multiple platforms/apps.
With this being said, is there a way to send subscribers emails with some ‘teaser’ info, which they can then click on to in order to visit the site for the full material?

Hi Stefan, can you try adjusting the Feed Settings here?
https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/stefanandlydia.wordpress.comToggle “Limit feed to excerpt only” — that setting should apply to email notifications as well.
