Email forwarding
-
Our Email forwarding option “edit email” next to our custom domain does not appear like it is described in the help files.
We also have an issue where when we type in our domain name http://www.ngtyger.com (which is set to point to ngtyger.wordpress.com) it does not work on the first attempt, but only on the second. And in the blog, when you return to the home page, the same thing happens. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Only the user who added the custom domain to your blog will be able to add email and manage the domain settings. That user can log in and go to Store > My Domains to set up email forwarding, as described here: Email Forwarding
We also have an issue where when we type in our domain name http://www.ngtyger.com (which is set to point to ngtyger.wordpress.com) it does not work on the first attempt, but only on the second.
For your domain to work properly with your blog, you’ll need to make sure it’s fully mapped to WordPress.com as described in this guide: Map an Existing Domain
In particular, you’ll need to set the domain name servers to the following:
- NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
Please let me know if I can provide any further help with that. :)

Thank you for the first answer. It was done under my own username and I did not realise it.
The second issue persists, but only in Safari? Why is that?

Hi there,
I’m not sure why the issue with your domain is only happening for you in Safari. You can completely get rid of the issue by changing your domain’s name servers so they point to WordPress.com. We have instructions for that here: Change Name Servers

Oops, that was the wrong link. Sorry about that! You’ll need this support page for instructions about pointing your domain’s name servers to WordPress.com: Map an Existing Domain
