Email not registered to correct account
-
I recently created a WordPress account and purchased a domain name for the 3 pound a month annual plan. The email I registered with this account did not exist at the time as I accidentally input an @hotmail.com address instead of an @outlook.com address. My account was created however before I realised my mistake and I paid the annual sum for the domain name. I requested the email be changed in the account settings but when I followed the link they sent to my correct email, it created an entirely new account with the @outlook.com email address rather than just changing the registered address on my original account. I now do not have access to the domain I purchased and have been unable to contact support due to WordPress not sending me an activation link for the domain and therefore I have no proof that I own this domain according to the helpline. I would like this problem resolved imminently as I have paid the annual fee.

Hi there!
If you were charged, please find the transaction ID for your payment to WordPress.com on your credit card statement. Here’s how to find it.
Once you have the transaction ID, please send it to our account recovery team by filling up this form. They will get back to you via email to help you log into the correct account or update the email address so that you can log in and manage your domain/site.
We are unable to help with account issues in the forums, so please fill out the account recovery form with the transaction ID.
Thanks!
