Email Notifications

  Hi! I know you can add a widget where people will be able to follow your blog. However, I wanted them to get the email notifications of new blogs through mailchimp. If I add the mailchimp subscriber pop up, do I have to change the code every time someone subscribes? Also, if anyone clicks the follow button on the bottom right hand corner, do they have to get notifications from WordPress or can I change it to where they get the notifications from Mailchimp?

  Hi there,

  MailChimp is a tool for creating and sharing newsletters. It won’t automatically pull your new posts and email them to your subscribers. You can use it as a weekly or monthly newsletter.

  No. The code you’ll get from MailChimp will never change unless you create a new form on MailChimp’s website.

  They’re not interconnected. The pop-up form is gathering email addresses on your MailChimp account while the Follow button subscribes people to your blog directly.
