Email sent to followers

  How long after a post is published will my followers receive an email about the new post?
  I published a post on Monday afternoon June 2 and still no email has gone out from wordpress. Thanks so much!

  Hi there,

  Your followers can decide how often they would like to get emails about your new posts. They can choose to get an email right away, or they can get a once-a-day or once-a-week email with your new posts. WordPress.com followers can also choose to get updates only in the Reader, with no email.

  If some of your followers expected to get an email and didn’t, can you please reply here with their email addresses? (Only staff can see the email addresses here.) That will help me investigate why they didn’t get the email.

  These are 2 of them. Even I ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) didn’t receive an email stating that a new post had been published. Thanks!

  Has something changed in Twenty Ten theme that doesn’t send email notifications to subscribers or followers?

  These users have their follower settings to receive e-mail notifications turned off.

  Your blog followers can set their own notification preferences at http://wordpress.com/following/edit/ (click on the ‘Edit’ link next to the blog you are following to change the settings) and delivery settings at https://wordpress.com/settings/subs-delivery/ .
