Email subscription spam

I was not a user of word press til just now, but this is the only way I could post a question. I recently started receiving thousands of subscription confirmations from thousands of different sites. the only commonality was they are all hosted by wordpress. Who / How do I talk to someone at wordpress about this?

It sounds like someone managed to get hold of your email address and is using it to sign up to random sites. Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do about that – we did not provide your email address to this person and we cannot prevent them from using it.
But you can block all subscription emails for your address from your account subscription settings. This would also have been possible without creating a WordPress.com account via subscribe.wordpress.com.
