emails being rejected with 550 error

    I have recently registered making.glass as my domain. I have set up an email account of (email visible only to moderators and staff) but when I send emails to it from my btinternet and ovi email accounts the messages are returned with a 550 error. Please can you advise me how I can receive emails. I have been able to send a message from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi there!

    It looks like you’re using a separate email host. Can you tell me who your host is and copy and paste all of the DNS records you’re supposed to add for your host so I can confirm that everything is formatted correctly?

    Hi, the email host is namecheap. I am not sure what the details are you need, so I have contacted namecheap helpdesk too. Whilst looking into the email in namecheap I got the following error message:

    This domain name is using third party DNS, please contact your DNS provider to add the following records:
    mail.making.glass IN CNAME 0 privateemail.com.
    making.glass IN MX 10 mx1.privateemail.com.
    making.glass IN TXT 0 v=spf1 include:spf.privateemail.com ~all
    making.glass IN MX 10 mx2.privateemail.com.
    ####

    does this make any sense to you ?

    Yep! That’s exactly what I needed. :)

    I just set those up for you. It can take a few hours for those changes to take effect, but let me know if it’s still not working in 24 hours.
