    We’re getting email from:
    WP Engine Billing ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) ((email visible only to moderators and staff))

    that say:
    ‘We’re reaching out with a reminder that your account ‘projectcuddle1′ with WP Engine is due to renew on 8/22/2022 and payment will automatically be attempted via the credit card on file. An invoice will be emailed on that date. If you would like to see more details, update the card on file or this is no longer the best point-of-contact for your invoices, please login to the User Portal and navigate to the “Billing > Invoice” section. Note that your receipt of this notice does not necessarily mean you have portal access and you may need to reach out to someone within your organization who does.Thank you for continuing to choose WP Engine!’

    Are these legit emails and are they from wordpress.com? I can’t figure out what they’re for.

  • Hey there! WP Engine and WordPress.com are actually two separate hosting companies:
    https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/#overview-of-options

    Both can host WordPress sites. This email would not have come from us. Their support would know whether it’s real, so you may want to contact them directly if you’re concerned.

    Or, if you have service with them and aren’t sure if this email is legitimate, I’d recommend avoiding clicking links in the email. Instead, visit their site and log in directly, then you should be able to navigate to the page where you can make a payment.
