embed a Youtube video in WP leads to endless loop
-
I am trying to embed a scheduled Youtube video in WP. The video is scheduled and public, you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEUQZG3-ijE. When I click on the video on the youtube site, I get a “live in x days” message.
However, when I try to embed this video into a WP site, it seems to embed well but when I then click on the video I get an endless loop (is there a way to post screen shots of this behavior?). You can see this behavior at http://www.strings.org, which is the WP site I am involved with.
Also as long as I am logged into the youtube account which scheduled the video, when I click to start the video on the http://www.strings.org site (wp site), I DO get the “live in x days” message; but once I log off youtube, the endless loop reappears on the WP site.
How do I get WP to do something other than an endless loop? -
Hi there!
I see what you mean but, I don’t think anything can be done from the WordPress.com side. This is en embed, so all the information displayed is taken directly from YouTube.
Since the information on YouTube is not there (the video will not be available until the premiere), it never loads.
