I seem to be having trouble embedding an issuu embed code. Any idea why this is happening?

Hi there,

On what site are you trying to embed an Issuu document? And what is the embed code you’re trying to use?

Are you following the instructions we have for that platform here?

Issuu Embeds

Make sure you’re copying the document URL, as explained on that page, not the embed code, as the embed code contains JavaScript which is not allowed on WordPress.com.

Thanks, I did follow the instructions (I think). I am trying to use the issue embed feature in one of the blocks on a wordpress.com site I’m making. It says that the “content can’t be embedded” and I’m not sure why that is. It was originally a .docx file uploaded to issuu.

Any thoughts?

Ok, when editing the page, try this:

1. Add an Embed block: https://d.pr/i/3s6RK5

2. Where it asks you to enter the URL, paste:

https://issuu.com/jackmorales3/docs/eng_102_syllabus___2_.docx

First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

If it is, please do these two things:

1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Thanks again, everyone. Here’s the summary:

1. I tried a different browser and got the same message.
2. I updated my google chrome and it also happened then.
3. I then turned off all the browser extensions, etc. with no luck. I was/am working with chrome, still no luck. I have a couple of blogs under the same account so I will try there to see if that works.

Ah ok, not everything can go into a Columns Block yet. In this case, I recommend placing it below the columns.
