  My actual interest is in deleting old entries with lots of image files so I have room in file storage to change my header. How do I find old entries? Is there an archive page, and if so how is it found?

  Hi there,

  Deleting a post won’t free up any space. You’ll have to go to your Media Library and delete the files from there.

  Also, note that deleting any images from the Media Library will also remove them from your posts.

  Alternatively, you can upgrade to a paid plan and increase your storage space.

  Okay. If I want to delete the media and the post, I have to go to two places. Then how do I find the post that goes with the deleted media? If I’m looking at a post I want to delete for the sake of deleting the media, how do I find that media in my Media Library?

  There’s no way to just see the posts in which a particular file was used, nor to look at a post and just see which files were used in it.

  Any file you add to the media library can be embedded in multiple posts and widgets on your site, and can even be embedded in other websites if you have the direct file link, so there’s no way to indicate in the media library everywhere that a particular image was used.

  And in a post itself all you’ll see are the direct file links for the files, but that won’t take you to the media library record for that file.

  So the only way to do this is to look at the file links used in the post, and then search for those file names manually in the media library.
