Erroneous "Your browser is out of date!"

    I am using Firefox 10.0.6 on Windows. That is the currently supported release on the Firefox ESR release channel. It is not out of date.

    But when I access my WordPress Dashboard, I see this message:

    “Your browser is out of date! It looks like you’re using an old version of Firefox. For the best WordPress experience, please update your browser.”

    The above message asserts a false statement, as my Firefox is not out of date.

    The most recent stable version of Firefox is Firefox 14.0.1 and any outdated browser version can be ugraded here http://browsehappy.com.

    timethief: Your comment indicates that you don’t understand what the ESR release channel is, or its purpose. Once you understand that, you will see that my original comments are accurate.
