Error connecting

The domain was purchased with GoDaddy, the proper changes were made by the original person building the site, I have taken over updates and making changes but on my side it’s saying the set up was done wrong. I do not have the GoDaddy sign-in for this domain but the person who set it up signed in to both and is not having trouble. What do I do?
