Error: Invalid shopper node: pwd, email, firstname, lastname and phone must…..

  • Unknown's avatar

I went to purchase a domain mapping and domain registration for $18 and upon purchasing I receive the following error:

Registration failed. Please go back and correct the following.
Invalid shopper node: pwd, email, firstname, lastname and phone must all be non-empty

The money has been taken from my PayPal and I can see I now have a “Current WordPress.com Credits balance: 18.00”. Can you please advise what I need to change or update to get this transaction to process.

Additionally, I understand about having to pay the Domain Mapping for a domain I already own but why do I need to pay a Domain Registration as well if I already own it?

    Regards

    Hi Paul,

Sorry for the trouble you had adding this domain. Since you already own the domain, our system shouldn’t have tried to register it again or charge you for the domain registration.

I see that the domain mapping is up and running, so you’re all set with that. Domain mapping is $13/year, so I went ahead and refunded the additional $5 you were charged. You can now access your WordPress.com site at your custom domain here: http://runfatgingrun.com/

Again, my apologies for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about that.
