error message

Hi when I try to access the admin portal on our website and go to the following:
    Appearance – Customize or Background.
    I get the following message
    Google_AuthException thrown
Error refreshing the OAuth2 token, message: ‘{ ‘error’: ‘invalid_grant’, ‘error_description’: ‘Bad Request’ }’

Please advise on how to fix this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi! That’s an odd one. That site isn’t hosted with us, though, so I can’t see the admin area to tell what’s wrong.

If this happened with a recent theme or plugin update or install, can you troubleshoot that? The healthcheck plugin may help, or you can deactivate or uninstall the plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/support/article/managing-plugins/

You might also ask your host to help you restore a good backup.

Going forward, you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations:
    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Or, you’d be welcome to migrate your site to our services once this is resolved, so we can provide direct support going forward. All of our paid plans include hosting, support, maintenance, SSL, and more. You can find our pricing here:

    Hoping this helps!

    Hi there.
I was able to fix this issue 15 minutes before your post.

it had to do to google analytics. it turns out that that there’s an interference between this plugin and themes with the new WordPress update.

I deactivated Google Analytics and it worked!

    Thank you for your time.
