    Tried to access stats and was told that the connection to wordpress had been broken and recommended disconnection and reconnection with wordpress.com.

    disconnected and reconnected. On reconnection with username savesgutv, I was presented with the error message The session state (512164306) didn’t match the state parameter (1).

    Can you please try deactivating all other plugins to rule-out a plugin-specific conflict?

    Theme function can also interfere like plugins, so would you please also temporarily switch to the Twenty Eleven theme?
