Error message after new update
-
Hi there, I completed your recent update to version 5.3.2 and since then I can’t upload my main blog image which I’ve never had a problem with before. The image dimensions are 1030x438px and the error message says ‘scale down to 2500’, which to be honest I have no idea how to do this. I’ve looked at some advice online, cleared the cache, tried uploading images that were already in my media library (same size as one i’m trying) and I can upload them, but when I go to upload new image I still get the same error message. What do you recommend I do? Is this issue being fixed at your end soon or am I downgrading my wordpress version to the previous version?

Hi there,
It sounds like you’re using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. That is not the same thing as WordPress.com, the hosting provider on whose forums you’re posting now. We cannot help with this over here, as we can only help with sites that are hosted on our servers.
You do have two sites with us, https://footballsandstilettos.wordpress.com/ and https://jro2015.wordpress.com/, but those have been running WordPress 5.3.2 since a few days before the official release of that version in December last year, as all software updates on WordPress.com happen automatically and invisibly.
Please post in the self-hosted WordPress forums instead for help with your site using the stand-alone version of WordPress:
