Error uploading photos

    I am trying to upload photos of a size of approximately 5MB. It says ‘error whilst uploading photos. File couldn’t be uploaded.’ How can I upload those photos to my Gallery? On the internet page of wordpress it says that you can upload photos up to 1GB.

    Have you upgraded to the Premium plan because otherwise your standard Media Library of 3GB will soon be full if it uses images of that massive size. I’d be inclined to reduce the file size of those 5MB images drastically before uploading them. Large file size png images slow down the loading of sites and may deter visitors altogether if the images “time out” (which is what looks like happened as you tried to upload them). jpg images have file sizes often around 10% of .png images for the same sized image with little loss in clarity for the average visitor viewing a WordPress site.
