Error when trying to edit pages

When I try to edit any page I receive an error screen. Posts edit fine.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

From the admin page, I click edit on one of my pages. The icon spins for about 2 minutes and then this message appears:
Goshdarnit!
Something has gone wrong with our servers. It’s probably Matt’s fault.
We’ve just been notified of the problem.
Hopefully this should be fixed ASAP, so kindly reload in a minute and things should be back to normal.

OK, so obviously this error is not being reported like the message above states. This is the third day in a row that I cannot edit any of my pages. I have cleared caches and cookies and tried 3 different browsers with no success. Can anyone make a recommendation or check log files?

I’m sorry for the trouble you’re having with this. Our developers implemented a fix earlier today for an issue like the one you described. Are you still having trouble with this?
If you are, can you please let me know what page you start on (you can give me the address shown in your browser’s address bar) and then exactly where you clicked on the page before you got that error? That will help me pinpoint what’s going wrong.

I was hoping your fix would do the trick, but I still get the same error.
I start on this page: https://msroth.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page
Choose any Page, and click the Edit link. For example, the Publications page: https://msroth.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=23&action=edit
After about 2 minutes of nothing, the error appears.

Yeah, now I see what you mean. This is a bit different from the other issue I mentioned — sorry about that.
I’ve reported this to our developers so they can take a look at what’s causing that error. I’ll let you know as soon as I have more information from them!

Hi there,
Our developers have implemented a temporary fix so you can edit the pages on your site. However, there’s an issue with these two pages that you’ll need to address:
- http://msroth.wordpress.com/documentum-errors/documentum-server-6-6-errors/
- http://msroth.wordpress.com/documentum-errors/documentum-content-server-7-errors/
Each of those pages is nearly 2MB in size, which is so large that it’s breaking those pages (making them inaccessible to visitors at least part of the time, if not always) and causing the problem you experienced while trying to edit other pages on the site.
I’d recommend breaking up those two pages in to smaller pages, to help fix that. The temporary fix our developers put in place will be there for about a week so you can edit those pages, but after that if those two pages are still that big you’ll continue to run into trouble editing the other pages on the site.
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help.

Thank you for your help and diligence in figuring out the problem. I was unaware of the size or that the size was causing the problem. I am reducing those pages to a collection of smaller pages. Thanks again.
