Excerpt Module Missing

    Hi
    When I post a link to my Contact page, the preview contains the text “This is just a short excerpt for the contact page.”
    I understand this text is normally configured in the “Excerpt” module. But I have no Excerpt module available to me, even if I click Screen options at the top of the page, it’s just not there.
    I understand that some themes do not offer an excerpt module (I’m using the Franklin theme), but if that’s the case, how can I get rid of that text?

    Unfortunately, we cannot assist because your site is not hosted on WordPress.com. It’s a self-hosted WordPress.org site hosted by a different hosting company. 

    We do not have access to self-hosted sites, so I cannot see the setup of the backend of your account.
