exchanging blog names

How do I transfer the content of one of my blogs to another? I would have just changed the name, but I already started a new blog with the name I want. Now it appears i have to import all the media and set up everything again. Can I get around this?

Export the existing content from your old WPcom site and import it to your new WPcom site. During the process it should ask if it should transfer the media files. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-between-wordpress-com-blogs
Both sites must be Public in order for this to happen. Once you’ve made the transfer and set up your new site, you can make the old site Private, which will keep it out of search engine results. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
