Exerpts not showing on site, but shows in Customizer

My site uses Botiga as theme, which supports excerpts, but it isn’t showing excerpts at all. I don’t think it’s theme-related, as when changing to a different theme, I have the same issue.
On the site itself (www.willcycle.com) there are no excerpts showing. However, the preview of the site, as shown in the Customizer, shows the excerpts.
I’m baffled here! Please help?

This site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. This is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
