Expired site
-
I just recently allowed my site to expire a few weeks ago due to a credit card expiration. Is there a way to recover the domain?
-
We have absolutely no history of domains, purchases, transactions, or billing activity of any kind under the account you’re currently logged into.
What is the domain name?

I know, I’m confused by the lack of account activity. The domain is melanabaca.com. I know I’ve changed my password, but unclear as to where to account is. I’m clearly not tech savvy. It’s a simple website for my hairstyling. My husband built it and initially had the login credentials; I don’t think I changed anything else other than the password. Any info to help me at least still own melanabaca.com would be amazing, even if I have to rebuild the site. Thank you!

That site belongs to a different account here, not the one you’re currently logged in with.
If you do not recall the password for the correct account, we have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

Ok. Thank you for your help! I figured out the correct login. The website still exists on WordPress at melanabaca.wordpress.com, but the melanabaca.com is no longer working – and I’m hoping you can tell me what happened?
I know I recently missed some emails telling me I needed to make a payment, and I’m assuming this has something to do with that. But I’d very much like to try and get my website back to its original url, as that’s what’s printed on my business cards.
Any insight and suggested next steps would be greatly appreciated. -
Hi there,
I can see you have access to the correct account now. You can go here and purchase the WordPress.com Personal Plan you had before previously
You can purchase either the yearly or monthly version of the Personal plan here and you should be all set.
https://wordpress.com/plans/melanabaca.comOn our end, I have added “domain mapping” back to your account for melanabaca.com, so as long as you add the personal plan your site will use the correct address going forward. Hope this helps!
